CLAUDY JONGSTRA

Award winning textile artist Claudy Jongstra established her own design studio in Holland after graduating from the Academy of Art in Utrecht. Since 1994, over the course of a distinguished career, she has explored the ancient art of felt making, developing entirely new approaches to the material and to it’s applications within interiors, and as part of the architectural fabric of a wide range of important projects.

CASTE BY TY BEST

Under the name Caste, Ty Best has developed a collection of furniture, lighting and objects that reflect his years as both a visual artist, sculptor, and leading fashion stylist.  After studying and pursuing careers in both California and New York, Ty returned to his native Montana where he continues to work, alongside a team of skilled local artisans, to realise his unique design language in a palette of organic materials including a wide range of woods, marble, bronze, and steel.  In all his pieces, the forms and materials, restraint, and craftsmanship are at once apparent, the growing collection having received critical acclaim since the outset in 2007.

PHILIP MICHAEL WOLFSON

After studying architecture at Cornell University, Philip Michael Wolfson moved to London and  continued his education at the Architectural Association, where he was discovered by Zaha Hadid. After completing his studies he spent the next ten years as Hadid’s head of design. In 1991 Wolfson established his own studio and has worked since then throughout Europe and the USA on residential interiors, functional art pieces, and furniture, using both traditional and ground breaking new materials to create the distinctive elegance that characterises his unique approach. His award winning work has been shown at leading international art and design exhibitions, galleries, and public venues, and is represented in numerous important international collections.

PAUL MATHIEU

Educated at prestigious art and design establishments in his native France and England, Paul Mathieu is the recipient of many awards and has established an important international reputation for his elegant furniture collections and interior design projects. The Aria collection of hand-cast, signed bronze furniture and lighting, inspired by a commission to design liturgical furniture for an 18th century church in Aix-en-Provence, continues to grow as further sculptural pieces are added.  Bespoke commissions are increasingly central to the development of his designs, many of which are already considered design classics.
